Today is my Birthday!
And I’m gonna Party like it’s 1999.
Let’s be real, it’s not always fun getting older. There comes a point in every adult’s life where you don’t get excited about Birthday’s anymore. You don’t want to celebrate getting older!
Let’s be real again, One year older is one year wiser. Why not give yourself the one day that is yours to celebrate. Celebrate life, celebrate you, heck celebrate the night off from cooking! Choose positive things to celebrate and don’t focus on the number.
This year feels different.
This year feels good.
This Birthday is awesome!
Even if everyone is busy, my family is hundreds of miles away, my husband is out of town.
It’s ok, I’m happy.
As I have sat and pondered the last few days of my mid thirties, I decided to come up with three words to move forward with this year.
those beautiful life lines we call wrinkles, new adventures, opportunities, change.
memorable moments, beautiful things, new relationships.
Take time for yourself, as much as you need. Love yourself & what your doing.
Like the Dollar Spot at Target, I’m welcoming my late thirties with open arms!
The magic of Paper….
I used contact paper I had on hand. Try using craft or wrapping paper!
Although I used contact paper I didn’t peel the back off. I just set it in without tape.
Seriously so easy! And it gave my jewelry drawer some fun detail!
I’m finally getting around to sharing about our hardware. So many have asked and I’m happy to share products and links today!
Most of our hardware is Amerock. They have tons of styles and options to choose from.
Please feel free to ask any questions about our hardware.
JUST ROLL WITH IT! I have been swooning over all the cute rolling pins from The pioneer Women, Anthropology, and Target! I have a few rolling pins I don’t use, but display in my pantry so I was thinking of a way to spice them up. My original plan was to paint the handles black like the cute Hearth and Hand ones, but who knew a little paper could make such an impact!
This was such an easy project!
I’m excited to find some paper to switch out for the upcoming holidays!
If I inspired you to try this project please tag me over on my Instagram! I would love to see and share!
BOYS, BASKETBALL, AND BEDDY’S.
This year we went with a Basketball theme for the boys Christmas trees.
Their big tree is our local high school BOBCATS!
Beddy’s recently came out with these adorable Sports ball pillows. I knew the basketballs would be perfect paired with their dash bedding.
Beddy’s has two options for the interior, cotton or minky. We went with minky and the boys love it! Seriously so cozy and comfy! You have to feel it for yourself.
How cute are these basketball ornaments I found at Hobby Lobby for 1/2 off!
Another fun find is this score board I found at an antique store.
NBA tree, Jazz fans over here!
We all know that boys don’t like to make their beds. Beddy’s has made it so easy. One zip and this OCD mamma is happy!

4 must haves for Fall!
We made some slight changes from the original floor plan. We knew we wanted a bigger shower so that was at the top of our list. We extended it into the closet. I also wanted the door from the bedroom to the bathroom to be even with the bathroom tub and window. For some reason it wasn’t even in the plan and it wasn't until it was already framed that I noticed. Crap! But luckily our builder was so awesome and had the framers move it for me. It’s things like that that drive me crazy. The original plan also had his and her vanities. We have never used both vanities in houses we had in the past so I took out “His” and I’m so glad I did.
-Entry to the bathroom
It was really important to me to create a space for both Luke and I. I have never been the type to deck the bedroom out with pink and frill. I would never want Luke to feel uncomfortable or that he couldn't touch anything, after all it is his bedroom too! When designing our master suite from colors, pattern, fixtures, & accessories I considered both of our likes, needs, and wants.
Welcome to our Master Bedroom.
Where 90’s R & B plays on repeat.
Bedroom Inspiration: South Eastern Utah (my kneck of the woods), The mountains (Luke’s home away from home). Modern. Classic. Rustic.
How we accomplished the look: Used Neutral colors, brought the Outdoors in, clean modern fixtures, cozy bedding & pillows, rustic accessories.
I wanted something with style and comfort. And man did I find it! Seriously! The prettiest most comfortable bedding I have ever experienced. And the best thing is it is husband approved!
All the feels
The fabric is plush and amazing! But what really rocks my world is the Minky inside! Ahh mazing!

A place for him to kick his boots off.
The vanity we took out of the plan was set to go across from the shower. I like the space it created. I’m still trying to decide what to do there. Bench, shelves, full body mirror? Ideas welcome!
My diy jewelry hangers are still kickin it. Gotta love an easy project!
My funky buck hangs proudly occasionally wearing a few of my accessories.
His and hers hunting gear.
You better believe I saved the best for last. My all time favorite part of the master suite is the pocket door from the master closet to the laundry room! HOLLA!
Shout out to Beddy’s Beds for making our bed cozy, pretty, and made with a zip! They are now at the top of our Christmas list for the kiddos!
